Voice Over Artist and Script Writer

I am a professional voice over artist and script writer with over 15 years of experience recording and producing compelling voice overs for television commercials, radio ads, YouTube, social media, instructional, explainer, and marketing videos.

I have worked as a writer, voice over artist, and video producer at universities in Alaska and Idaho and have recorded and produced hundreds of instructional, marketing, and PR videos for universities, businesses, and nonprofit organizations.

Vocal Style

Generally, people describe my voice as authentic, believable, friendly and easy to listen to. I am told that I have an engaging Internet-style instructional voice, like an approachable expert, for explainer and how-to videos.

Studio and Gear

I work out of a small sound booth in my home studio (thank you pandemic!). Depending upon the project, I record with a Neumann TLM 103 condenser mic or the Shure SM7B dynamic microphone. I generally record to a Sound Devices MixPre-3 II recorder though I use the Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 on some projects. I edit in Adobe Audition and tune the audio using audio industry standard plugins from iZotope (cleanup) and FabFilter (EQ and compression).
