Sunset up Blacks Creek - photos

I’ve been shooting in the Blacks Creek area for a few weeks and finally got over at sunset when a large cloud sat on the sun as it cruised beyond the hills. Still, I’m fascinated by this old farmhouse near the Oregon Trail and wonder that the neglect tells a story of wanting to forget. Shot on the Canon R5 and 24-70 L-series lens.
I thought I would shoot for color this afternoon and did make some photos with the Mamiya RB67 on color film, but as the light turned under the cloud I found the story in black and white. Honestly, I really wanted the reflecting tree in color and did not capture it as I saw it in my imagination so will have to go again.
