After a week of Thursdays it’s finally here and the heat but not like in some places and there’s nothing I can do but continue to write and ride and revise and ride and write until it feels effortless because it’s those moments when the effort becomes the thing itself — the ride or the writing — those moments when the moment is the only thing — lagniappes of life.

Yat-Kha: We Will Never Die (on Amazon music). I was introduced to Yat-Kha in their 1995 Yenisei Punk album (Amazon music) but this one is less alt-punk-folk and more Tuvan psych-folk (music genres!). His “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” on “We Will Never Die” is my favorite cover of this tune.
