A change of plans on a Strawberry Moon Saturday night
I had intended to try some experiments in the studio at The Common Well in Garden City because I’m part of this residency with the Alexa Rose Foundation and The Common Well (for which I am so, so grateful) and I was unable to get into the space for very reasonable reasons on July 16, 2024, during the Strawberry Moon over Boise and when I emailed about access I received a kind response with an apology for possible work stoppage which having seen the moon I had pretty much decided it was going to be a different evening of photography than I expected anyway and it very much was in every way and beautiful and a poem fell out of the email response back to AL and KS who assisted me with access and providing space for this to emerge.
Note: The strawberry moon generally signals the end of strawberry season in North America which might explain the vibrant youthful activity downtown Boise on this particular evening.
