That Time We Lived Lives in a Theater - These Things
“With theatre, you have to be ready for anything.”
– Willem Dafoe
Remember that time we went once into a theater for a couple of hours and it lasted days, even weeks while we aged in depth but not in time and travelled to Vietnam to Arkansas to Denmark to Ireland and Cornwall where I still can hear him telling her the way I want someone to feel about me but the family and the duty to country and kin so their love isn’t so simple and we emerged from the theater that day having been these other people for so long there was no way we could be who we were before having been there so these things inspire me to keep becoming, to keep being, to keep looking for ways to emerge from all the theaters I walk into.
