There's a World Out There
There's a world out there that we hold in our imaginations. A world that we remember remembering. There's a world out there we want to explore again. A world that is filled with people on patios laughing with friends and family over glasses of wine. A world filled with greeting people with handshakes and hugs. A world that is filled with seeing the smiles on other’s faces. A world experienced from the seat of a bicycle on the way to work every morning. There's a world out there that we both imagine, that we both remember, how the light falls on everyone the same, that each of us is beautiful.

These Things inspired me recently:
“Four Ways to Fight Staleness While Working From Home” - These will be especially good tactics this winter.
“Everybody is a Genius. But If You Judge a Fish by Its Ability to Climb a Tree, It Will Live Its Whole Life Believing that It is Stupid” - Did Einstein reall say this?
"Glenn Gould Interviews Glenn Gould about Glenn Gould" by Glenn Gould. Gould is that famous pianist from Canada who brought Bach back into our postmodern consciousness. He also did a three-part experimental radio show for the Canada Broadcast Corporation called the “Solitude Trilogy (Amazon.com / YouTube)” and was a great interviewer. Here's “The Idea of North” which is my favorite section from the trilogy. In this article, Gould interviews himself. There's a great segment in the film “Thirty-Two Short Films About Glenn Gould” where you can watch this as well. You can find the full article in “The Glenn Gould Reader” which, if you like the film or this article, I highly recommend.
“Björk on Björk: The Inimitable Icelandic Superstar Interviews Herself” - Similar to Glenn Gould interviewing himself, here is Björk interviewing herself. Her approach is wildly different and it's interesting to consider how a writer reveals different aspects of herself by interviewing herself.
“The Way I See It” - You have to see this documentary about Pete Souza, the White House photographer under Regan and Obama. It reminded me how great our country is.
