These Things: Bicycles in the UAE

Happy Independence Week Lovely People!

I’m so grateful to live in a country where I can publish whatever I find across the Web that fascinates or inspires me. Our country is evolving quickly since 1776 and it’s exciting to be here now, to be part of this continued evolution. It seems we’re working through some things right now and, again, I’m grateful we have processes (voting, access to communication with representatives) toward this.

Okay, this is two weeks in a row of me spouting too many opinions--here’s some of the beautiful things going on around us:

  • Whether you’re into BMX bicycling, this short film shot for Vans by Richard Forne in the United Arab Emirates is so beautiful: VANS UNFILTERED U.A.E.
  • Habits that have the highest rate of return via James Clear from Twitter
  • “It Happens All the Time” - I tried to make a poem about the feeling of freedom I experience on a bicycle, but something else happened. The tune you hear in the background was played on a primitive, homemade cigar box guitar.
